They say that no publicity is bad publicity and this seems to be true for the “Rich Pom” – a Rich Jerk clone who is offering a get rich quick scheme down in Australia.
According to a thread on the UK Net Marketing forum (great UK based IM forum – [link no longer active]), this marketer has been featured on an Australian TV programme called “A Current Affair”.
On his site (therichpom.com) he claims to make $90,000+ per month and will show anyone how to do the same if they are willing to pay him $79.
He includes “proof” of his earnings by showing screenshots of his Clickbank and PayPal accounts from June 2006. Here’s the first image from his site:
Two minutes ago I logged into my Clickbank account, saved the HTML and then doctored it to give the following:
Moral – don’t believe that a screenshot tells you the whole story, they can be easily doctored. That includes PayPal screenshots, bank statements, Clickbank account screenshots… anything.
The Rich Pom’s sales copy contains one page called “Sound Like A Scam?”
It is on this page that he asks:
‘Would I be on YAHOO NEWS as “Number One Work From Home Website in Australia” if this was a scam?’
He then gives a link to a Yahoo News page where a Press Release has been published. And it is a very one-sided press release at that.
The Press Release states:
‘The Rich Pom Becomes Number One Work From Home Website in Australia, According to Alexa Internet Traffic Rankings’
OK, lets take a look at the Alexa rankings for therichpom.com:
Traffic Rank for therichpom.com: Â 414,161
Another famous entrepreneur who offers business opportunities in Australia is Ed Dale, whose site is undiesipack.com. Is the Rich Pom trying to say that he is more popular that Ed Dale?

So, the Rich Pom is clearly lying about being the number 1 “Work From Home” website in Australia as just one of Ed Dale’s websites beats him hands down.
Who is the Rich Pom?
He isn’t brave enough to give his name on his website but the Rich Pom  website is owned by Chris Dutton of Frenchs Forest, NSW (New South Wales?)
I’m not willing to put any money into the “Rich Pom’s” pocket so I won’t be buying the package. From one report I read, he delivers it as a Word file – very professional… not
My advice – AVOID

Hi,
I live in Australia. Just trying to find out more about internet marketing home business in australia. Hate to break it to you but I’ve never heard of Ed (sorry mate). I have heard of the rich pom though. I’ve worked in e-commerce for 8 years so it’s not like I’m new to this or anything either.
Some advise for Ed. Visitors are nothing to do with success or sales. It’s about gettting the right traffic – relevant customers.
A website name like undiesipack.com has no connection to making money at all. Might want to change the url camp, as the only people clicking on that site would be travellers with dirty underwear.

Hi,
I also haven’t heard of Ed Dale before either. I’ve been to this website http://www.hit1million.com and it mentions that a radio station in Sydney was advertising the guy’s product. I haven’t watched the Current Affairs but this guy seems legit. The website also has some guide about “get-rich-quick” scams – it’s very useful information.
Also, it might be worthwhile mentioning that Alexa ranking may change on a daily basis. It’s possible that when you perfored the search, the rankings dropped for whatever reason.

Oh my god, you must be a complete idiot.
I have joined Rich Pom’s website and it WORKS. No doubt about it. Yes I have put the effort in and YES I am earning money – good money.
So far I’ve earned about $9000 listening to him – maybe you should take your head out of your arse and stop “thinking” it must be a scam. Can’t believe you assume it’s dodgy with no back up.
Also, if you think his screenshot of earnings might be fake in some way, you are clearly polluted in the brain. Have you not seen the LIVE VIDEO he has done?
The only thing to say is this: IT WORKS and you CAN earn money.

Yep, just watched it. Interesting but I must ask, why didn’t he show his Clickbank account?
Surely anyone selling a get rich quick scheme, as Chris Dutton aka “The Rich Pom” is, would want to show off their wonderous Clickbank earnings.
Especially when they are trying to sell a Word document for $79!
By the way “Andrew Jones”, are you a friend of the Rich Pom? Your IP address suggests that you live in exactly the same area as our allegedly wealthy friend.

It had how the pom makes his money, as well as explained all the terms really well. This is not a scam or a get rich quick scheme. But it can earn you allot of money.

The program is promoted through ClixGalore, not ClickBank
It’s not a Word document it’s a PDF
As to whether it works or not I have no idea, but the concept of affiliate marketing is the basis of many online earning opportunities.
Affiliate marketing does work as an income producing activity no matter who writes about it. Isn’t that what the majority of internet marketing “gurus” promote. I could list fifty different products that promote the same principals Affiliate Allstar, The Rich Jerk, ProfitLance, Andrew Fox, Mike Filsaime, Cody Moya, the late Cory Rudl and the list goes on. the only difference between all these guys is that they have reinvented the wheel, charge different prices, have different bonuses and differ in their level of support.
Bought any novels recently – not everybody likes Stephen King either.

The Rich Pom’s dubious scheme may well be promoted through ClixGalore but his “proof” of earnings showed a Clickbank screenshot from June 2006 (see actual post above).
That’s why I wondered why he did not show his Clickbank account on the video.
Quite honestly, Chris Dutton may well earn a lot of money *now* but I would bet heavily that he wasn’t earning a penny online until he started selling his get rich quick scheme.

It’s not so much an ‘investigation’ but rather my opinion. It’s a sad fact that chancers and b*llsh*tters tend to lie and cheat on the internet in order to suck in gullible newbies.
All they see is the money – and there have been plenty of people who have never made a penny online yet are happy to sell over-priced JUNK to those stupid enough to believe their claims.
I firmly class the Rich Pom in this category – he doesn’t have any real evidence that he ever made money online – and if he does now, it’s only from selling dreams to foolish newcomers who know no better.
If you were thinking of buying this junk, I wouldn’t bother. Save your money for something that gets good reviews.
The only time the Rich Pom gets good reviews is when people who are based in his exact geographic area speak about him – which is very suspicious (see comments by “Meg” and “Andrew Jones” above).

Sydney is about as close to Adelaide as Land’s End is to London – 1400 kms – so how this qualifies as an exact geographic location match is beyond me.
So much of the information in this post is totally wrong or outdated that perhaps you should consider doing some further research and making an update. I don’t suggest you change your opinion, but please at least base your opinion on current data. You are being just as misleading as some of the “chancers and b*llsh*tters” that you are claiming “lie and cheat to suck in the gullible newbies”.
Apart from the things I mentioned in my last comment, there is no Clickbank screenshot, it is PayPal. There is a dated video that shows a login to the PayPal account mentioned. From October 2007.
If you are going to write credible reviews whether they be negative or positive you should get the basics correct.
Also as far as what he is earning now and what he was earning then, if you had searched the net thoroughly for information, you would have discovered that he had earned a lot of money as an ebay marketer before leaving England for Australia. He was also a webmaster of several other sites and all this information is freely available by searching Google.
I’m not necessarily trying to defend the Rich Pom or otherwise, but as a professional reviewer myself, I find it difficult to swallow information that is clearly outdated.
One question Ben – have you read the ebook?

No, he SAYS that he earned lots of money back in England. Saying and actually doing are two different things.
The problem with researching this “Rich Pom” character is that the vast majority of information out there is written by him and released as press releases and articles. It’s all one-sided, biased crap.

There is no Clickbank screenshot NOW, but you are replying to a post made well over 1 year ago. Back then the “Rich Pom” had a page on his site which claimed to show proof…

A very pompous comment, and quite ridiculous when you consider that you are replying to a blog post made in November 2006. No doubt the Rich Pom has made changes to his product in that time but I’m not wasting my time by going back to read that site.
I think the point was made some time ago and it was made well, the Rich Pom was making some quite over-the-top claims about his website which were not true (read original post).
Continue picking holes in my old post if you like, the fact remains that I was spot on with what I said in November 2006, the Rich Pom’s site was simply NOT “Number One Work From Home Website in Australia”.
